Betty C. Monkman has worked in the White House curator's office since 1967; in 1997 she was named curator. She has written numerous articles on White House decorative arts. Bruce White, formerly a staff photographer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, specializes in photographing art and architecture.

Beautiful coffee table book.

I had been to the White House over forty years ago on a grammar school trip and to behonest, didn't remember too much about it... this book was a great way to go back andlook at all of the beautiful furniture and the historical memorabilia that is our nation'shome... the photos are glorious. You won't be disappointed.

What a thorough book. Loved the plentiful images.
